چکیده

The microwave Doppler radar sensor enables a non-contact approach for measuring movement in various applications. One of the most challenging issues is radar signal demodulation because it requires accurate DC offset compensation. Existing works either require a complicated setup procedure or are sensitive to environmental changes. In this reported work, a compressed sensing based approach to effectively demodulate a radar signal is discussed. Through l1 minimisation, the proposed method can reliably demodulate noisy signals with large measurement residuals. To validate the algorithm, three sets of experiments were run to evaluate the demodulation performance. Experimental results show that the proposed method is promising in both simulation and real-case studies.

CSSF MIMO RADAR: Low-Complexity Compressive Sensing Based MIMO Radar That Uses Step Frequency

A new approach is proposed, namely CSSF MIMO radar, which applies the technique of step frequency (SF) to compressive sensing (CS) based multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radar. The proposed approach enables high resolution range, angle and Doppler estimation, while transmitting narrowband pulses. The problem of joint angle-Doppler-range estimation is first formulated to fit the CS framework, i.e...

Sub-Nyquist Radar: Principles and Prototypes

In the past few years, new approaches to radar signal processing have been introduced which allow the radar to perform signal detection and parameter estimation from much fewer measurements than that required by Nyquist sampling. These systems referred to as sub-Nyquist radars model the received signal as having finite rate of innovation and employ the Xampling framework to obtain low-rate samp...

Analysis of Sparse MIMO Radar

We consider a multiple-input-multiple-output radar system and derive a theoretical framework for the recoverability of targets in the azimuth-range domain and the azimuth-range-Doppler domain via sparse approximation algorithms. Using tools developed in the area of compressive sensing, we prove bounds on the number of detectable targets and the achievable resolution in the presence of additive ...

Compressed Sensing Based Track before Detect Algorithm for Airborne Radars

This paper presents a novel compressed sensing based track before detect (CS-TBD) algorithm. The proposed algorithm reconstructs the whole radar scenario (direction of arrival (DOA)Doppler plane) for each range gate at consecutive scans using an improved stagewise orthogonal matching pursuit (StOMP) algorithm, resulting in a three-dimensional range-DOA-Doppler space. It then performs temporal t...

A New Method for Ground Moving Targets Tracking Using Radar Based on Compressed Sensing

In this paper, we propose a Compressed Sensing (CS) based method under the unknown sparse degree to track ground moving targets using Pulse-Doppler (PD) radar. We use the sparsity of delay-Doppler plane in the process of disposing PD radar echo to set up a sparse signal model in each pulse interval. At the state prediction stage, we can get the predicted values of target states by dynamic equat...
